Vulnerable Sector Check

Vulnerable Sector Check

The health and safety of our players, coaches, officials, and volunteers is a primary concern of the Greater Niagara Baseball Association. Therefore, we require a Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) from all of our coaches. This check must be updated every 3 years. During the seasons between the 3-year window, a Self Declaration Form will be required for each season. The Vulnerable Sector check fee will be reimbursed by the association upon receiving the proof of payment. All coaches are asked to read the following instructions.

  1. Follow the link to the Niagara Reginal Police website for information on background checks https://www.niagarapolice.ca/en/what-we-do/policebackgroundchecks.aspx
  2. Choose to apply online or print off the manual forms and follow the indicated instructions.
  3. Assemble the required personal identification as explained in the link above.
  4. Once complete, the completed background checks and receipt may be submitted to the GNBA for reimbursement.

Please Note: The residency of the coach (e.g. Mississauga, Toronto, Burlington etc.) does not matter. What matters is that they are volunteering in the Niagara Region.
